American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold opened a four-day pop-up store in Camden Market at the weekend to coincide with The Stage World Tour and its two concerts at The O2. The Vlauder Lauder's General Store stocked a variety of merchandise and limited edition items in a neon illuminated brick building with exposed wooden flooring.
The band raffled prizes and gave out wristbands for an in-store meet & greet on the last day of the pop-up. They also flew in acclaimed artist C. Rackam to do an in-store A7X space-themed painting over the course of the four days, and visitors to the pop-up could watch him paint and hang out. The painting was raffled off to one lucky winner.
These types of music pop-ups open up more access to both the band and its merchandise range, bringing fans closer to the band and essentially the brand.
In December The 1975 opened a pop-up store in Camden Market to concide with the band's London tour dates.
