International Fashion Showcase returned to Somerset House this week, featuring a series of specially commissioned and curated fashion installations including works by emerging international designers from 28 countries. Created by the British Council and British Fashion Council and Mercedes-Benz, the International Fashion Showcase is a key part of London Fashion Week's public programme. The theme of this year’s exhibition was Local/Global.
The exhibition was arranged over 15 rooms, 13 of which represented a country. There was one group installation, ‘Next in Line’, curated by Shonagh Marshall which featured designers from 10 further nations.
Bonaveri has previously participated as the official supplier of mannequins for the event and again supported the IFS as part of its young talent initiatives. Fifty mannequins and bust forms were used, including 37 ‘2200’ female and three ‘3000’ male mannequins along with 10 Compuline bust forms.
