Coffee specialist Nespresso will strengthen its London cafe offering with the opening of its second cafe in early summer, located in the heart of Soho. Following its first cafe opening in Cheapside last year, customers will be able to enjoy the latest signature Grands Crus, cocktails and coffee-inspired dishes in a new setting that will reflect one of the capital's most vibrant neighbourhoods.
'Following in the footsteps of our successful first launch in June last year, we are extending the Nespresso offering to a wider base in the capital and into a neighbourhood famous for its thriving coffee culture and vibrant atmosphere,' says Francisco Nogueira, managing director of Nespresso UK & Ireland. 'As our customers enjoy their coffee or an after work cocktail, we want them to experience a truly personalised service. The combination of our range of distinct coffee blends created into recipes by expert Coffee Maestros means that cafe customers are able to enjoy drinks prepared exactly for their tastes.'
The cafe, a joint venture with food caterer DO&CO, will also feature a Nespresso Cube, the automated self-service boutique that prepares personalised multi-product orders in minutes, giving customers the chance to also buy Nespresso capsules to take home.
The cafe marks a key milestone in this year's growth strategy for Nespresso and is also the second cafe of its type in London. Noguiera adds: 'The new cafe gives our London-based customers and tourists in Soho another Nespresso option and moves us closer to our goal to increase access to high-quality Nespresso coffee in the UK. Our aim is that every British customer will be no more than an hour's drive away from a boutique or cafe.'
Nespresso has also announced plans to open three new boutiques in Newcastle, Glasgow and Reading. These new openings are part of the company's ambition to be more accessible to customers and to enable them to discover the full Nespresso experience.
