The Mall of Switzerland has announced its official opening date – Wednesday 8 November 2017. The 65,000 sq m leisure and shopping destination will include approximately 150 retailers, first floor surf wave, the largest IMAX cinema in the country and a 12-screen multiplex cinema.
Negotiations are underway with additional retailers and interested parties in order to continuously optimise the mix of tenants and to take their requirements into account in the centre's layout.
Once completed, the Mall of Switzerland will be the second largest shopping and leisure destination in Switzerland. Connected via a train station and bus stop, with direct access from the motorway to the car park and a large bicycle parking area, the Mall is set to be one of the most accessible and forward thinking shopping centre developments in Switzerland.
The Mall is based on a triangle that turns into a hexagon by means of mirroring. Mirror axes cover the floor of the square and Mall providing the toeholds for the architectural accentuation of the entrances and hearts. Attractive shops with inviting and partly open highlight shop fronts and showcases provide an urban shopping atmosphere. The use of warm, natural materials in combination with a high-class design and detailed design language promote a feel-good atmosphere exuding sensuality and esprit.
