Smashbox opens at Bluewater

Los Angeles-based beauty brand, Smashbox Cosmetics has opened its debut standalone store in the South East at Bluewater shopping and leisure destination in Kent. Located on the Upper Rose Gallery adjacent to Topshop’s statement store, the 82 sq m Smashbox store recreates the look and feel of the legendary Smashbox Photo Studios in Los Angeles, where the cosmetics brand was created.

'Smashbox Cosmetics is a fantastic addition to Bluewater’s outstanding offer. The new flagship retail space will further strengthen the health and beauty category of the scheme, and reinforce Bluewater’s position as the UK’s leading retail and leisure destination. World-renowned and international brands continue to select Bluewater as a springboard for their growth in the UK, creating stores that deliver an industry-leading experience for visitors,' says Russell Loveland, portfolio director at Land Securities, co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater.

Anuschka Kuhnel, brand manager at Smashbox Cosmetics, adds: 'The new Bluewater standalone store is an exciting step for the Smashbox Cosmetics brand, further marking our move of opening standalone stores outside the capital in select locations. The enthusiasm and demand we have experienced for our brand amongst consumers throughout the South East makes Bluewater an exciting move for us.'

This news follows the launch of The White Company’s new upsized statement store earlier this month on Bluewater’s lower Guildhall, and the opening of Gap’s new UK concept store on the lower Rose Gallery in March.
