Candy Mechanics opens chocolate selfie pop-up

Custom candy specialist Candy Mechanics opened a pop-up shop in Covent Garden's Piazza at the end of May, offering visitors the chance to create the ultimate selfie in the form of a chocolate lollipop. Visitors were able to experience having their own heads carved in chocolate in front of their eyes.

Called Lolpops, the shop featured lab-coated Candy Mechanics that 3D scanned heads and machine carved them using CNC mills to create perfectly formed chocolate selfies, which were then finished with a dusting of gold lustre. Customers could either take away their lollipop or have it posted to them.
