PKZ Women opens in Basel

PKZ Women has opened a store in Basel, Switzerland, designed to tell shoppers a story, encourage them to try out something and let them discover new things. The 1,500 sq m space is spread over four floors and combines modern and classic with a feminine look. Classic forms and elements are mixed with new materials and colours.

The Basel store is based on the concept of the brand's flagship store at Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, which was developed with design agency Interstore in 2014, which has also designed the new Basel space. The feminine look is expressed through colours and textiles such as soft carpets and light curtains.

The special architecture of the building was integrated in the layout and and a rounded highlight niche with a white cassette wall at every floor was created, where highlights like the 'Shoes Bar' or shop-in-shops such as Paul Kehl are presented.

Greenery has also been introduced into the space in the form of hanging baskets in the escalator area.
