British furniture brand, Loaf has announced the launch of two new showrooms opening outside of the capital. With three London Shacks under its belt, the brand will open at Tunsgate Quarter in Guildford on 15 March. The second Shack will follow in May in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The brand refers to their stores as 'slowrooms'.
Loaf's 464 sq m emporium at Tunsgate Quarter will have all the essentials for laid-back living. 'Loafers' can take in the mattress testing area, sit back on squish machines, play retro arcade games, enjoy a colour station and football table. There will also be an old school-style icecream parlour for big and little Loafers to enjoy.
'Our customers asked and we listened! Loaf's first Shack outside the capital has arrived. With squishy sofas and oodles of snooze spots, our new Guildford slowroom is our latest homage the art of loafing. We want visitors to enter our laid-back world, kick off their shoes and relax,' says founder Charlie Marshall.
'We're thrilled that Loaf will be amongst the first shops to open at Tunsgate Quarter. To be home to Loaf's first store outside London is testament to the unique, high quality brand mix that we're curating at the centre, and we look forward to welcoming shoppers from 15 March,' adds Stuart Harris, commercial director and co-founder at Queensberry.
This opening will follow with the Wilmslow Shack in May. Situated in an impressive 650 sq m stand-alone building, the Shack will pay homage to life in the slow lane. This store will also feature a mattress testing station, squishy sofas and arcade games for little, and not so little, Loafers to enjoy. The Churnery old school icecream parlour will also appear in this store.
'It's high time people in the North of England had a bit of Loaf on their doorstep so they can kick their shoes off in style. Our new Wilmslow Shack is packed full of our squishy sofas, bonzer beds and kicking cabinetry; all basic requirements for a happy life in the slow lane!' says Marshall.
