Vans Carnaby Street welcomes Pillow Heat concept store

Pillow Heat aka Henry Davies, one of the world’s leading collectors of vintage Vans shoes and merchandise, has launch an exclusive permanent showcase of his unique offering at Vans Carnaby Street. Presenting rare and hard-to-find Vans product dating back to the brand's inception, Davies’ collection focuses on shoes made before 1998 when production moved away from the USA.

Vans opened its first ever store in 1966, manufacturing shoes on the premises in Anaheim, California and selling them direct to the public. Customers could bring in any fabric and shoes would be made that day, ready to pick-up in the afternoon. Vans became the shoe of choice for a generation of skateboarders, and as the brand's popularity grew so too did the style options available.

Pillow Heat’s carefully curated assortment will be available to purchase in limited numbers at the Carnaby Street store, with the wider offering still available to purchase through the Pillow Heat website.

The concept store has taken over the upper level of the Carnaby Street shop.
