John Lewis launches The Boy & The Piano Christmas campaign

The wait is finally over, as John Lewis & Partners unveils its 2018 Christmas campaign – The Boy & The Piano. This Christmas, the TV advert tells how one gift in particular inspired and influenced the course of a little boy’s life. That little boy is Sir Elton John. The story begins in present day and works backwards chronologically through Elton’s life, right until the moment he received the special gift of his grandmother’s piano that changed his life forever because some gifts are more than just a gift.

Malone Souliers opens pop-up and made-to-measure service at Selfridges

British footwear brand Malone Souliers by Roy Luwolt is offering its exclusive Made-To-Measure service at Selfridges from 26 November - 24 December to coincide with the opening of the brand’s pop-up store in the women’s footwear department. The Made-To-Measure service allows customers to experiment with their own personal creativity and individuality, culminating in the creation of their perfect shoe. Customers select their favourite Malone Souliers iconic style and then select from a rainbow of swatches in a variety of satins, nappas, velvets, raffias and glitters. Delivery of shoes takes six to eight weeks, directly from the brand’s artisanal factory in Italy.

Boxpark Wembley announces opening date

Boxpark’s largest site to date will open its doors on Saturday 8 December 2018 at Quintain’s £3 billion Wembley Park development. Ugly Dumpling, Nanny Bills, Smoky Boys, Mitsuryu and Cut + Grind are amongst the street food vendors that will open at Boxpark this December, which will be home to 27 independent traders and a 1,858 sq m event space. Boxpark Wembley will be situated in The Village, one of the four distinct retail districts that make up the 85-acre mixed-use Wembley Park site.

Stance opens first store outside of America in Seven Dials

Premum basic apparel brand, Stance has opened its first physical store outside of the US in London's Seven Dials. Located at 3 Neal Street, the 189 sq m store is spread across two floors with the ground level showcasing the brand's range of products including socks, underwear and the launch of the company's duel-gender t-shirt range. The basement level will be transformed into a gallery and event space, due to open in early 2019. Designed by an in-house team, the store interior includes core brand elements including artwork created by global Punks & Poets – Stance’s athlete and ambassador community.

Bold vision unveiled for Hawley Wharf Camden

LabTech, the property investment and technology company that owns Camden Markets, has unveiled its vision for Hawley Wharf Camden, a 53,883 sq m mixed-use development that is scheduled to open by Summer 2019 by the canal. Colliers International will lead the retail, food and drink, and leisure leasing for the development.

Christian Louboutin opens seasonal pop-up at The Royal Exchange

Christian Louboutin has opened a seasonal men’s pop-up in The Royal Exchange, London’s historic luxury shopping destination in the heart of the city. The concept space launched with a predominantly men's edit of Autumn/Winter 2018 collection designs. A December product refresh will bring evening styles for the party season. The boutique will also carry a full range of leather goods. A small capsule of women’s styles will be presented in the boutique, the launch collection meeting every wardrobe need for the season.
