Hardy Amies - Is It Overcoat Weather?

Designer menswear retailer, Hardy Amies has unveiled a series of windows to promote the brand's new overcoat collection, which launched at the beginning of September at its Savile Row store.

With September an odd time of year in menswear – one day you could be enjoying a balmy Indian Summer, the next a blustery autumn chill – One Big Company played on the gamble of what to wear with this fruit machine inspired window display, asking the question 'Is it overcoat weather?’ A simple printed foamex construction created a quasi 3D one armed bandit featuring classic weather symbols.

This was supplemented by a secondary window dressed with seasonal product and features a quote from Hardy Amies' book, ABC of Men's Fashion, stating: 'A high fastening overcoat can be practical as regards warmth and, when undone, can have a certain casual elegance.'
