LabTech, owner of Camden Market, has announced the opening of Sweyn Forkbeard’s debut bricks and mortar grooming boutique.  Taking two units totalling 400 sq ft, the male grooming product manufacturer and retailer has launched a its first-ever Barber Shop as part of the new shop, which will also sell Sweyn Forkbeard’s male grooming products for wet shaving and beard care at home.

Designed by an in-house team, the barber shop is inspired by the 1900s, with customised barber chairs and displays of antiques over 120 years old.  With over 125 male grooming products on offer, each item is certified 100% organic and handmade in London, with a percentage of profits donated to local charity, Camden Giving.  Forkbeard’s first barber shop joins over 900 other brands and food and beverage retailers located in Camden Market.

George Garcia, Founder of Sweyn Forkbeard, commented: “We are thrilled to be opening our first ever stand-alone barber shop in the iconic Camden Market. Following continued success with our three product shops in London, two of which are already in Camden, it makes sense for us to extend our presence here with an expanded bricks and mortar offering for Londoners. After selling barber products within our stores and at barber shows over the last five years, it is a natural step open a fully-fledged barber shop, enabling us to apply our products directly to Camden Market’s consumers.”

Maggie Milosavljevic, LabTech’s Retail Commercial Director, added: “Following our evolving offer within Camden Market, this is a great opportunity to be adding Sweyn Forkbeard to our retail portfolio. We are pleased to have secured the unique brand’s debut barber shop site, and we are confident the new Sweyn Forkbeard experience will be a hit with our local customer base.

“Nurturing and working closely with brands such as Sweyn Forkbeard to grow their presence within our estate is very much key to the success of our offering within the market, and as a landlord it is vital we continue to support these businesses as we move out of lockdown. It is a great example of how we want to support all our traders to continue to grow their offering and is evidence that Camden Market is a destination where brands should be looking to expand their businesses.”

The opening of Sweyn Forkbeard’s first barber shop follows the opening of restaurants Neat Burger and Indian Alley, as well as the debut opening of high quality CBD (Cannabidiol) wholesaler, Canna Power, in Camden Market.
